New oil can T150 irons are on the way! I've been playing the T100 Blacks (4-P) since 2021 and have been looking to update for at least a season. As much as I've been wanting to keep the T100 irons, the truth is I've been needing just a bit more forgiveness, and a little extra distance has never hurt anyone. So the T150 is where it's at for me this season. Truth be told, I've been waffling on upgrading, and the oil can finish being available in left hand pushed me over the edge - pre-order is confirmed.
A few things I needed to consider - the 2021 T100 set starts with the pitching wedge at 46 degrees. The new T100 has the pitching wedge at 45 degrees, and the corresponding lofts all move accordingly going up to the 4-iron. When I looked at the T150 set, the pitching wedge is a 44 degrees, which means every iron was more than a little different than my current set. To help limit the severity of that change I went ahead and ordered the T150 set with the lofts 1 degree weaker(P=45) throughout the set. They will match the current year T100 lofts and that is ok. I'm looking for the increased forgiveness with the slightly larger head profile more than anything else.
To say the least, I am pretty stoked about the new set. Looking forward to the technology improvements the last 5 years have provided Titleist engineering. And that oil can finish looks pretty stunning in the photos. Can't wait to get them in hand and get this season started!
