Thanks for the comment. My Fitting unfortunately isn't with a Titleist specific fitter, but they have been the fitter that I've been going to for the last 6 years. The irons that I got fitted for have improved my game and no more knee or back pain.

907 D1 Driver. What i might upgrade to?

I love my 907 D1 Driver but starting to think that I might need an upgrade. There are so many good options out there but wondering what the best option might be. Should I start with something more recent or just go straight to a 2026 Model? Look forward to the advise that everyone provides.

Thanks for the comments. The Fitter that I'm going to is going to put me in a few different manufacturers drivers just to see the difference between them, but he said the most important thing is to match me with the right shaft. He said that without the right shaft it won't matter what driver I hit it won't improve my game. I'm relying on his expertise on this. Luckily, I have few options for possibly getting pulled shaft that's in great condition from a few people I know. My game has changed since my 2 meniscus surgeries, so I know my current setup is not right for me. Excited to see what comes from my fitting.

I’ve actually wanted to do a putter fitting. Just haven’t got around to it. I’ll definitely consider it before making a switch.

I have a Scotty Del Mar and thinking of getting a phantom 5.2. The feel off the face feels a lot softer. Love having the alignment line on the top of putter. Weight wise feels lighter too. I putt well with the Del Mar, but feel like an upgrade is in store. Anyone else made a similar switch?

GTS Hybrids

Hi all, Im getting the new GTS Metals this year as a replacement for my current 917 Driver and 3 wood. I also want to get the GTS 3 hybrid but I have yet to see something from Titleist regarding the hybrid lineup. Only the Drivers and the Fairwaywoods got announced via photos etc. Will the hybrids get released at the same time as the drivers and fairwaywoods and there is just not anything to find at the moment? I want to upgrade my bag if possible at the same time with driver, fairway and hybrid.

You probably missed the window for a new GT driver fitted to you for $450. Ask at your fitting if that is an option. With a $200 markdown, it is one of the best bargains out there. Coming from a 907 without hosel adjustments any will be an improvement. Not to mention if you’ve owned this 20 year old driver for over 6 years, your swing has likely changed in that time.

There are a lot of good drivers in the T series (TS, TSi, TSR) and GT line, but getting the best model, loft, and shaft for your swing will be more hit and miss. If you can get to a large retailer with a good volume of used clubs, they can best match you. For that, you may need to travel to LA or SD for that option. There are online stores like 2nd Swing and Global Golf that let you try for 30 days and let you apply the fee minus a small restocking fee to another club. Those do offer online consultations.

The GTS will be at least $650 new, for comparison.

I might buy a used club with a purely cosmetic issue, but that crack is not cosmetic.

Hello!

I just bought a used U505 3 Iron and it has a crack on top. The seller says he played it two months and there was no difference in use and sound. He also asked his fitter about it and he confirmed that it is just cometics. So I bought it for a low price.

Today I tried it and the sound is pretty high and pingy. Now I am not sure if this crack really is no issue and pure cosmetics. What do you think about it? Have you ever seen an iron crack on top?

There is some kind of buyer protection. But that is just an option, if he described it wrong. As long its just cosmetics, he is right. Thats the problem.

GT1 3 Tour

Hi Guys, I’ve always struggled with fairway woods, I love my GT2 7 wood but the 3 wood has always been an issue. I’ve had a GT280 in the bag for the last few months but I find it goes too far off the tee and requires a perfect lie to hit it off the deck. I’ve ordered a GT1 3 Tour as It looks like it could be a good fit for me. I’m just wondering if any of you have one and how you are finding it ? Cheers

Hey Scott.
Good for you for getting a fitting. I hope it's a true outdoor Titleist fitting with all the optional shafts & heads. If you've never done it before, you'll be amazed at the difference it will make. Yes it can be pricy, but you seem like you're the kind of guy who considers it a long term investment.

Thanks for the comment. Have a Driver fitting on Friday, but asked to try clubs from the last 5 years since not sure I want to spend $$$.
