I practice more than playing and i am on the range quite much.

Most of my time is spent on the course rather than the range. For the most part, my swing is what it is and my main objective with regards to my swing is to avoid injury. I'm good enjoying the game when I play and also, I can "take it up a notch" to be more competitive; I get the best of both worlds. If I spent more time on the range, I probably could shave a few strokes off my hdcp.

This time of year, I'm playing 3 rounds a week and mixing that with my other obligations, it's difficult to squeeze range time in there. As the days get shorter in the later part of the calendar year, I'll spend more time working on the swing on the range.

I've practicing a few times per week and try to play once per week. I'll pitch around the yard or work on strike into the net 3-4 days a week, hit a couple buckets at the range, and 30-45 minutes on the putting green pretty much just working on speed control from various distances. I don't have a specific practice routine or plan, I just try to hit everything at least once a week.

If I have time for a full round ill always go play. If I only got an hour or so ill hit the range. Sometimes just being on the course playing and not worrying about a score helps more.

I definitely spent more time playing than practicing. At 79 I want to get in as many rounds as I can. But things could change for a short period of time. In talking with my PT, looks like I could be released to start practicing the third week of February. Putting, wedges, irons and the hybrids/woods/driver. All depends on my next review with my neurosurgeon. But looks very positive for me to return to playing three days a week by the end of February. Have to get in touch with my teacher and work on the basics, mainly alignment, tempo and keeping, as usual, my speed under control. Went to PT Monday and had no pain. Hope I do not jinx myself. Will be working on the bending and turning in about three weeks. Surgery, Heal, Instruction/practice, Play. Hopefully my SHIP will sail down those narrow fairways in 2026.

I think it really depends, i typically spend 2-3 days a week at the range and at least once a week on the course. twice a month i take lessons to improve my game. i have only been playing 2 years with the last year taking lessons.

I can’t get through a half pyramid of balls on the range without changing my swing thought 7 times! For me make a healthy bet with the bros and play! A good bet keeps you locked in and focused!

I try to practice 2-3 times a week. I work on my chipping and putting at least 2 of those times. My chipping has improved quite a bit and still working on my putting. I have a putting fitting in about a week so we'll see how that goes. My other range sessions are devoted to swing mechanics.....getting the club and body in certain positions.
Been taking lessons since last May and I have definitely made improvements.

I find the range great for adjusting my driver swing, but I much prefer the course for my irons. Hitting off mats gives me bad habits and I tend to end up fatting more on the course if I use the range too much for irons. Can’t beat a good short game area, I’m one of those boring people who love practicing putting and chipping. If I have time I’ll hit hundreds of 3 - 4 foot putts.

Both the range and the course have benefits but for me I just cannot concentrate enough on the range! I'd rather play on the course with a full variety of shots. However, I do like rolling a few on the practice putting green on occasion.
