I starters my retirement Starter/Marshall Job two tears ago. I get to play free a couple days a week and my handicap has come down 8 strokes. Plus I find free Pro V-1’s all the time. Life is good. Have fun.

I’ve been doing it for 6 years and it’s great. There a 3 of us working as rangers at a muni that we have played for 20+ years. You’ve got to be a “people person” in the extreme because they will remember any contact they have with you.
Most people are great but every so often you run into a jerk. We have a lot of high school and college club tournaments an we do the on course rules for those events.
It took a lot of studying to get that accomplished. Love it!
If your thinking of doing it for the perks you’ve got it all wrong.

I to left my day job behind and moved on. Was lucky enough to land a job at the course i play at. Taking care of the course mowing , moving the pins and anything else that comes up. Nice going to the course everyday but it is hard to watch the full retirees golf everyday Few more years and I will be joining them. until then I enjoy helping taking care of the course..
